Have to choose between buying food and paying bills? You are not alone.  A recent government report indicates that 35 million Americans are at risk of being hungry.  These are families with children, the elderly and people with one or more jobs.

People like you. And they are finding that they have to choose between food and other basic necessities such as housing, medicine and essential utilities. Hunger is a choice that no one should have to make.

Help is available. Community Cupboard offers free groceries to our neighbors in the Greater Blackstone Valley area who are in need of emergency food assistance. No application or qualification required. Community Cupboard operates from the downstairs level of Saint John’s Episcopal Church located at 3 Pleasant Street (corner of Route 122A) in Sutton, MA. Who is Welcome? The Community Cupboard welcomes our neighbors from the town of Sutton and each of the neighboring communities that border Sutton (Douglas, Grafton, Millbury, Northbridge, Oxford & Uxbridge) that find themselves in need of emergency food assistance.

How you can get involved. The Community Cupboard relies on the generosity of people like you. Your donations of non-perishable groceries are essential for feeding the hungry members of our community.

Volunteer your organization. Make it easy for those who can afford to give to help their hungry neighbors. Volunteer your business or organization to serve as a monthly drop-off location, host a food drive, or conduct a fundraiser. It’s simple. Just call or email us today and we’ll get you started.
